Short Courses

Learn how to really look and record what you see, this intensive course is about accuracy, measuring and structured drawing techniques using pencils and charcoal we will be drawing vintage toys, animals and historical objects. It is recommended children wear old clothes for this course.

Introduction to drawing, colour theory and watercolour, using pencils, charcoal and other drawing materials, and watercolours. We will be drawing/painting fruit and cupcakes. It is recommended children wear old clothes for this course.

Starting with the basic colour wheel, you will learn all about colour mixing, colour matching and then putting these new skills into practice using colour pastels and acrylic paints to create a large still life picture to include vintage toys, vases, flowers and fruit. It is recommended children wear old clothes for this course.

A visit to Pittville Park to draw and paint the animals, followed by a lesson in perspective sitting under the colonnades of the beautiful Pittville Pumproom. We will be using mechanical pencils, watercolours and lovely smooth bristol board paper. It is recommended children wear old clothes for this course.
