Kitty
Kitty McLeod founded Promising Artists in 2019 to teach practical creative skills to children and adults.
Kitty trained at Ravensbourne University London and the University of Gloucestershire. She has been teaching art and creative workshops, organising events, parties, and face painting with children and adults of all ages nationally since 2010. She has experience in delivering fine art, illustration, printmaking, animation and life drawing classes.
She currently instructs both adults and children at The Wilson Art Gallery & Museum in Cheltenham, Snowshill Manor for the National Trust, and from her private studio in Cheltenham.
Ellie
I’m a second year illustration student at University of Gloucestershire, my work focuses on “imperfectionism”, in which I enjoy exploring the forms of portraits and birds. My main inspirations come from colour and texture and intentionally creating homemade and wonky work. My process reflects this, involving layering of both processes and media. Much of my practice is inspired by my previous studies of textiles, the 3D and tactile processes making a constant influence on my work.
Tyler
I am currently an undergraduate Illustration student at the University of Gloucestershire. Most of my work is created digitally but I also have a strong love for printmaking, bookbinding, and sewing. I occasionally create stuffed animals, and love to make my own sketchbooks. My art usually reflects themes of nature and frequently depicts animals or anthropomorphic creatures. The different ways nature and people can connect has been an influence on my work since I was a child.
